Club- and course information
Open since 1993 in the municipality of Serbannes, the "inland" golf course of Vichy-Montpensier, is a superb 18 holes located in the heart of the Bourbon Territory and the historic area of the Forêt de Montpensier. True haven of peace within a preserved nature, the golf combines the advantages of being a few minutes from the motorway accesses, accommodations and animations of the city center of Vichy, the visitor visiting the course is met with the serenity of a course rich in authentic natural flora and abundant wildlife.
Designed by architects James Engh and Thierry Sprecher, the course, open all year round, is subtly traced in the middle of a magnificent forest of century-old oaks. If the slightly undulating fairways appear generous, the permanent presence of the forest, a few water obstacles and numerous streams require the driver to be precise and to lift the ball well when attacking the greens.
From the white tees, the whole earned him a justified reputation. From advanced departures, the course becomes a pleasant challenge which gives the recreational golfer time to take advantage of the frequent encounters with the wild fauna that populates the surroundings of the course.
